What the service is
Finisht is a place where you keep your own shelves of films, series, books, music, games and podcasts and where you see the shelves of people you follow. The service is free and provided as is.
Account
- An account is created by a person, not by a company or a robot.
- You are responsible for your password. Sharing it is not a good idea.
- One person, one account. Creating accounts for other people or taking somebody else's name is not allowed.
What belongs on a shelf and what does not
You write the shelf, the notes and the comments, and you are responsible for them. Insults aimed at specific people, threats, hate speech, other people's personal data, advertising and content that infringes someone else's rights do not belong here. The operator may remove such content and close an account that does it repeatedly.
Who owns the content
You do. The operator claims no rights to your data beyond what is needed to run the service — to store it, show it to you and show others the part you marked as public. You can download it and delete the account at any time.
Data about works
Titles, years, authors and covers come from public catalogues — Open Library, MusicBrainz, Cover Art Archive, Steam, TMDb, Apple, TVmaze, Deezer, Wikipedia, Wikidata and Filmtoro — and belong to their sources or to the holders of rights in the works. The application shows them so that a shelf makes sense; it claims nothing in them.
Data and artwork for films and series come from TMDB. The notice below is required by the TMDB terms and is reproduced verbatim:

Availability
The service runs without any guarantee of availability. It may be down for maintenance or because of a failure. Back up your data with the export if it matters to you — it is one click.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for damage caused by the unavailability of the service, by loss of data or by content uploaded by users. Whatever the law does not allow to be excluded is not excluded.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. The operator may close an account that breaches these terms and will, where possible, give notice beforehand.
Changes to the terms
The terms may change. A substantial change will be announced by e-mail and the date at the top will move. By continuing to use the service you accept the new version.
Governing law
The relationship is governed by the law of the Czech Republic and disputes are heard by Czech courts. As a consumer you may turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (coi.cz) for out-of-court dispute resolution, or use the EU consumer dispute resolution options available in your country.
